Hospitality and food

Allergens, levies, fees and tips. Your systems carry more law than ever.

Online menus must show allergens before people order, compulsory booking fees must be in the headline price, tips must reach staff, and visitor levies are arriving in Scotland and Wales. We build booking, ordering and staff systems that get the details right at every step.

Thirty minutes with a senior engineer, free and with no obligation. Bring the problem, not a brief.

What we will not claim.

We do not make food allergen-safe or certify anything under Natasha's Law, and the CMA does not approve pricing. You stay responsible for the information you publish and the food you serve. We build menus, bookings and checkouts that show the right information at the right moment.

Hospitality and food questions

Frequently asked questions.

How should allergen information appear on our online menu?

It must be available before someone orders and again at delivery. The FSA's best practice is to show it on the menu itself or no more than one click away. We link allergens to recipes, so a recipe change updates the menu, the checkout and the labels together.

Can you add the visitor levy to our booking system?

Yes. We configure bookings to calculate the levy under the local rules, such as Edinburgh's five-night cap, show it in the total price and report the figures for your returns. Check your council's or the Welsh Revenue Authority's guidance for what applies to you.

Can we still add a booking fee at checkout?

Not if it is compulsory. Since April 2025, compulsory fees have had to be included in the headline price, and the CMA can fine businesses directly. Optional extras can be offered, but the first price a customer sees must include everything they have to pay.

Can you help us manage tips fairly?

Yes. We build tip allocation tools and records that follow your written tipping policy, so every tip is passed on and you have the three years of records the law requires.
