Your machines produce data all day. Most of it never reaches a decision.
Connecting production, stock and accounting systems, and showing the shop floor as it is right now, is where small and mid-sized manufacturers gain the most. We build the integrations, dashboards and connected product software, and scope projects that may qualify for Made Smarter funding.

Manufacturing and logistics, in numbers.
Manufacturing remains a significant part of the UK economy, and digital adoption support for small manufacturers now covers every English region.
The rules shaping your software.
The regulations and standards that change what your systems, website and data handling need to do, each with its date and a link to the source.
What we build for manufacturers and logistics firms.

What we will not claim.
Under PSTI, the manufacturer makes its own statement of compliance, so we do not certify products, and we are not an approved Made Smarter supplier. Made Smarter decides who receives its funding. We build the software, update processes and documentation your products and projects rely on.

Where to start.
Frequently asked questions.
Can Made Smarter fund our software project?
Possibly. Made Smarter Adoption offers SME manufacturers in England match funding of up to £20,000 towards digital technology projects, plus advice. Eligibility and approval are Made Smarter's decision, so speak to your regional programme first; we can then scope the work to fit.
Can you connect our machines to our other systems?
Usually, yes. Most modern machines and MES platforms expose data through standard protocols or APIs, and older kit can often be connected with an adapter. We start with a short audit of what you have, then connect production, stock and accounting so data flows without retyping.
What does PSTI mean for our connected products?
If you sell connected consumer products in the UK, they must have no universal default passwords, and you need a published way to report vulnerabilities and a stated security update period. We build the update services, reporting pages and documentation that support your statement of compliance.
Do we need to worry about the EU Cyber Resilience Act?
If you sell products with digital elements into the EU, yes. Vulnerability reporting duties began on 11 September 2026, with full obligations from December 2027. We can build the incident reporting workflow and software bill of materials those duties need.
